D. Shanmugam is currently serving as an Inspector of Police - cum - Faculty at the Tamil Nadu Police Academy, Chennai. With wide ranging experience for the past 26 years across Law and Order, Economic Offences Wing, Crime Branch, Special Branch, Coastal Security Group, Serious Crime Squad and Vigilance and Anti-Corruption.
He brings strong field expertise to Police training. His service has been recognised with the Tamil Nadu Chief Minister’s Police Medal for Meritorious Service in 2016, the Tamilnadu State Governor’s Vigilance Medal for Best Investigation Officer in 2018, and the President of India’s Police Medal for Meritorious Service in 2022. Academically, he holds Master’s degrees in Sociology, Criminology, Commerce, Business Administration, Defence and Strategic Studies, and Disaster Mitigation and Management and is currently pursuing a Master’s in Migration and Diaspora Studies from IGNOU.

Ms. Nithya R is working as Associate Professor and Head in the Department of Human Rights and Duties Education, Ethiraj College for Women for 20 years since 2005. She is one of the first to have a post graduate degree in Human Rights in India. Followed by her MPhil, She is currently pursuing her doctorate in Gender equality and Public policy.
She represented India for International Youth peace conference in Amman , Jordan in the year 2008. As Head of the department she has organised several workshops and awareness programmes on human rights. She is a recipient of Guinness World Record for Organising Longest Play on Human Rights for 28hrs 34min 43 sec, on 8-9 March 2019 with 25 students trained for almost a year. Her passion for human rights had made her publish many research papers on various human rights issues such as on women, children, manual scavengers, tribal rights etc .,
She is serving as members in various academic boards in departments of several colleges such as WCC, TamilNadu Open University , Salem Arts College etc., She is also currently serving as member of Internal Complaints Committee for Anti Sexual Harassment at Ethiraj College for Women and also for Life Insurance Corporation of India. Nithya organises several awareness programmes, seminars and workshops on various human rights including Gender Justice and law, legal awareness, women and children rights, Intellectual property rights etc.,

Dr Jacob Ashik Bonofer is currently working as an Assistant Professor, Department of Political Science, Madras Christian, College.
He has expertise on International Relations, Indian Foreign Policy, Sri Lanka, Maldives, Myanmar and Maritime related strategic issues. In addition he also studies problems relating to Human Rights, Mixed Migration, and Indigenous People in South of India. He holds a Ph.D. in Human Geography for his thesis on “Socio-Economic Development of the Nishi (Nyishi) Tribe: A Geographical Analysis”, where he examined 48 socio-economic and cultural variables using SPSS-based analysis. He also holds an M.A. in Geography and a B.E. in Chemical Engineering, blending analytical rigor with social science insight. A JRF–SRF awardee, he has published 9 research articles, contributed a chapter to an edited book, and presented 15+ papers at national and international seminars. His forthcoming academic works include textbooks on Political Geography and Cultural Geography. Professionally, Dr. Amal worked with Tata Consulting Engineers (TCE) before moving into teaching and mentoring. He has been a faculty member at prestigious UPSC coaching institutes such as Ensemble and Vajirao IAS Academy, specializing in Geography for Civil Services aspirants. Currently, he is also an entrepreneur, having founded Joyland (a children’s play zone) and Tummy Time Restaurant in Gwalior. Dr. Vithiyapathy Purushothaman is a Lecturer and Postdoc at the School of International Studies, Shenzhen University. He is an Associate Member at Chennai Centre for China Studies, India.
His recently published books include "Transfer of Technology from China South to South India and Sri Lanka: During the Colonial Era (1823–1947)", “Brahmaputra: The Strategic water resource of India” and “India’s Strategic Guardian of the Sky: IRNSS”. And his book chapter “Changing Dynamics of Counter-Terrorism Strategies in Asia”. He received Numerous best paper awards at international conferences held in India, China and Indonesia. During his doctorate at the University of Science and Technology of China, he was honoured to receive the “Chinese Government Outstanding International Student Scholarship Award” in 2020. He also received the “USTC Excellent International Student Award for Academic Excellence” and the “Best Activity Participation Award” in 2020 and 2021, respectively.
